Founded by the visionary Elida Almonte, the festival has become a staple event, known for its blend of family fun, exceptional music, fantastic food, diverse art, carnival displays, and rich Dominican folklore.
This year’s festival did not disappoint. Attendees were treated to a feast for the senses, starting with the tantalizing aromas of traditional Dominican cuisine that filled the air. Food stalls offered a variety of dishes, from savory empanadas to sweet dulce de leche, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of the Dominican Republic.
Music lovers were delighted by performances from top-tier artists who brought the sounds of merengue, bachata, and salsa to life. The energy was palpable as the crowd danced and sang along, celebrating the rhythms that are an integral part of Dominican culture.
Art enthusiasts were equally enthralled, with a diverse array of artworks on display. The festival featured everything from traditional crafts to contemporary pieces, highlighting the creativity and talent of Dominican artists. Carnival displays added an extra layer of excitement, with vibrant costumes and energetic performances that captured the spirit of Dominican festivals.
The folklore presentations were a highlight, offering a deep dive into the traditions and stories that have shaped Dominican culture. Through dance, music, and storytelling, performers brought to life the rich heritage of the Dominican Republic, leaving the audience both entertained and educated.
